John P. Fullingim is Managing Director of Applied Behavioral Sciences Marketing, L.L.C, a Dallas-based management-consulting firm. He leads of a team of highly qualified management science professionals. Clients include AT&T, Aetna, Berkshire-Hathaway, Hewlett Packard, JCPenney, Kaiser-Permenante, Procter & Gamble, TXU, Verizon, Texas Instruments, Direct Energy, The Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, The Kimbell Art Museum, The Dallas Convention and Visitors’ Bureau, The Dallas Opera, UNT Health Science Center and The University of North Texas at Denton. He is the creator of the firm’s Whole Brain Marketing© process.
Prior to starting his consulting firm in 1988, Fullingim held executive marketing positions with General Instrument, Control Data, and other technology firms. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in communications, Master of Science degrees in both marketing and finance, and has completed extensive post-graduate training in psychology. Articles on his firm's marketing projects and techniques have appeared in The New York Times, The Fort Worth Star Telegram, The Dallas Morning News, The American Marketing Association's Marketing News, The Dallas Business Journal,and other publications.
Fullingim is a frequent speaker on marketing strategy and management science and has been a featured presenter for the National Association of Advertisers in New York, the American Marketing Association, the Dallas Chamber of Commerce and others. He has been a guest lecturer for graduate-level classes at Baylor University, Southern Methodist University, the University of North Texas, and the University of Texas at Arlington and The University of Texas at Dallas.
Fullingim is an active volunteer and has served on the boards of The 500, Inc., Dallas Chamber Orchestra, Theater Three, USA Film Festival, The UNT College of Music, Allegro Dallas Recital Series, The Dallas Opera, and served as an MBA mentor at the SMU Cox School of Business. Listed in Marquis Who's Who in America, Fullingim is a graduate of Leadership Dallas and has been named University of North Texas Honorary Alumnus of the Year.
